All prosthetics are handmade by myself, Emily Boyd Longcope. I am a fine artist and I received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. I designed these prosthetics for special occasions and light wear. I am self-taught in this field with no actual training or certification in Anaplastology. I myself, am not an amputee, nor have I worked in person with amputees. I work exclusively from my home studio and correspond via email.
I began making prosthetics when amputees saw my life-like silicone rubber art and began requesting wearable prosthetics for themselves. My business has grown with each request and I base all of my designs on these actual requests and also the feedback I receive in return.
Due to the fact that I do not meet anyone in person, it is absolutely the customer's responsibility to ensure complete healing before use, a comfortable fit and to maintain good hygiene.
Please consult your physician to see if this is a good product for you and when you may begin wearing it.
