One Custom Finger/Toe Prosthetic By EBL sculpture
The artist, EBL, would like to offer her services to make one custom finger or toe prosthetic for those that do not have the same dimensions as the prosthetic collections already offered.
These natural looking silicone rubber prosthetics are designed for special occasions and light wear. These flex-fit, high quality prosthetics are made with a very thin and stretchy bottom edge for seamless transition onto the skin. You will notice the artist's touch in the subtle details from the airbrushed rosy fingertip to the hand-painted lunula (half-moon) in the nail bed. An acrylic nail is permanently adhered and can be painted with nail polish and filed just like a real nail.
Within 3 business days of your purchase, you will be sent a mold making home kit in the mail with all of the materials you need to make skin-safe, brush-on silicone molds of your residual finger and full corresponding finger on the opposite hand. This "Apply to Skin" cured platinum silicone rubber is skin safe and certified by an independent laboratory to OECD TG 439. It is ideal to have someone do this for you. The mold kit comes complete with written instructions and an online video tutorial.
Ship the molds, any unused materials and skin tone samples back to the artist within 2 weeks. Once your molds are received, your new prosthetic will ship out in 5-6 business days.
In order for an EBL finger prosthetic to work for you...
1. You need at least 1 inch of length on your residual finger and 1/2 inch on your residual toe to create the suction needed to keep the prosthetic in place.
2. The circumference around your full corresponding finger/toe on the opposite hand and your residual finger/toe must be the same.
3. Your residual finger/toe must have a tapered and rounded tip. The interior of your prosthetic will be made with your residual finger/toe impression.
Each prosthetic is treated as an individual work of art and is handmade by the fine artist, EBL, in her home studio in the foothills of New England.

The prosthetic should be cared for like a fine piece of jewelry.
Store your prosthetic in the gift box provided so the thin edges are not distorted or under any pressure.
Wash the prosthetic gently in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap.
Remove all vaseline from the interior and pat dry with a paper towel.
Do not rub the surface of the prosthetic excessively.
Apply a thin layer of vaseline onto your residual finger..
Gently slide the prosthetic into place on the residual finger.
To remove the prosthetic, gently squeeze the prosthetic to break the vacuum.
Pull the prosthetic gently off by rotating until it is removed completely.
Do not pull or grip the thin edge of the prosthetic because it can tear easily.
Discontinue use immediately if you experience any discomfort.
The high performance platinum silicone used to make the prosthetic is soft, strong and stretchy.
Cured material is skin safe and certified by an independent laboratory to ISO 10993-10.
Acrylic nails can be painted with nail polish, which can be removed with a non-acetone nail polish remover.
*The prosthetics will have your own fingerprints.
Please allow 5-6 business days for your prosthetic to be made once the mold is received back.
